Planets are an integral part of star systems, and they vary in size, composition, and other characteristics. They can be made up of a variety of materials, including rock, gas, and ice, and they can have their own moons or satellites that orbit around them.
Mercury :
Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun in our solar system. It is a small, rocky planet with a thin atmosphere. Due to its proximity to the Sun, it experiences extreme temperature variations between its scorching daytime temperatures and frigid nights.
Venus :
Venus is the second planet from the Sun in our solar system, located between Mercury and Earth. It is often referred to as Earth's "sister planet" due to its similar size, composition, and proximity to the Sun.
Earth :
Earth is the third planet from the Sun in our solar system and is the only known planet to support life. It's a rocky planet with a diverse range of ecosystems, climates, and environments. It has a diameter of about 12,742 kilometers (7,918 miles) and a roughly spherical shape. Earth's atmosphere is composed mainly of nitrogen and oxygen, with trace amounts of other gases.
Mars :
Mars is the fourth planet in our solar system, located between Earth and Jupiter. It is often referred to as the "Red Planet" due to its reddish appearance, which is caused by the iron oxide (rust) on its surface. Mars has been a subject of fascination for astronomers, scientists, and space enthusiasts for centuries.
Jupiter :

It is composed mainly of hydrogen and helium, similar to the composition of the Sun but without the nuclear fusion that powers stars. Saturn :

Uranus :
Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun in our solar system. It is a gas giant, often referred to as an ice giant due to its composition, and it is unique among the planets because of its extreme axial tilt.
Neptune :
Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the Sun in our solar system. It is classified as an ice giant, a type of planet that has a relatively small rocky core surrounded by a thick layer of icy materials and gases. Neptune is named after the Roman god of the sea, due to its deep blue color reminiscent of the ocean.
Pluto :
Pluto is a former ninth planet in our solar system that was reclassified as a "dwarf planet" by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) in 2006. It is located at the outer edge of the solar system and was discovered in 1930 by American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh.
Pluto's reclassification as a dwarf planet came about due to a change in the IAU's definition of a planet. According to this new definition, a celestial body must meet three criteria to be considered a planet:
It must orbit the Sun.
It must be spherical in shape due to its own gravity.
It must have "cleared the neighborhood" around its orbit, meaning it has become gravitationally dominant and cleared away other debris.
